Student Well-Being
One of the goals of SMAN 105 Jakarta is to become an inclusive school. We strongly believe in our mission to serve our diverse and globally mobile community to the best of our ability, and accept children with diverse learning backgrounds. Guidelines from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (Permendiknas No. 70 tahun 2009), which guide our practices and approaches.
Our mission is to facilitate enjoyable and quality learning, easily accessible, and community-based for students. As an inclusive school is a school that can accommodate students with special needs and students in general. The requirements to become an inclusive school, including:
- Preparing professional staff who support the implementation of inclusive education
- Building physical facilities and infrastructure that support and facilitate children with special needs (ABK)
- Applying general and specific principles according to student needs
Student support begins in the classroom itself, which is facilitated by teachers. Our goal is to ensure that we can meet the various needs of our students by adjusting our teaching to the needs of students individually.
SMAN 105 Jakarta recognizes 3 different areas of support:
- Academic
- Social Emotional
- Counseling
Depending on the area of need, students are allocated to the relevant level of placement support and this will determine the support the student will receive and its duration.
